Squaring off in Berlin were two programs with lofty goals for the upcoming postseason, but the Hawks took control early with a 36-16 first-half run and never looked back as they improved to 16-1 on the season. Zoe Miller dominated the paint with 15 points and 12 rebounds for Hiland, and also playing well on the interior was Kendra Shetler with 12 points and 10 boards. On the perimeter, Brynn Mullet scored 10 points, had five rebounds and dished out six assists.

The Redbirds saw standout sparkplug Celeste Ryman bottled up to just seven points, although she did have seven rebounds. Her backcourt partner Nikki Weber took advantage of the extra attention to Ryman and posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Emily Seboe added 10 points.
