There wasn't much time for Hiland's girls to dwell on Tuesday's loss to West Holmes, as the Hawks had to come back Wednesday for an Inter-Valley Conference game with visiting Sandy Valley, which the hosts won easily, 50-15.
Hiland (15-4, 14-1) held the Cardinals to four points in the first half, leading 22-4 at the break, then cruised from there, also limiting SV to two points in the fourth period.
McKenzie Miller was the lone Hawk in double figures, tossing in 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Bria Coil added seven for the winners.
