Hawks move on after rout of Hornets

Hiland had little trouble advancing in the Div. IV Claymont Sectional finals as the Hawks (21-1) routed Malvern 75-18 Friday night.

Hiland held the Hornets to single digits in all four quarters, including just two points in the second and third periods. The Hawks, meanwhile, were hitting on all cylinders with 12 girls seeing action and eight scoring.

Katelyn Stuckey led the way with 16 points, while Jena Stutzman added 14, Karli Mast 13 and Gabby Fowler 11.

Once again, defense fueled Hiland's offense as the Hawks had 31 points off turnovers, and outrebounded the Hornets 58-19. Stuckey and Kristi Yoder had nine rebounds each.
