There was an Inter-Valley Conference matchup in New Philadelphia, but the only problem was that it proved to be just another tuneup for the upcoming state tournament for Hiland (18-1, 14-1 IVC). The Hawks had their way with TCC as they mailed in a 34-6 advantage in buckets made, 45-25 edge in rebounds, 27-10 upperhand in steals and watched their bench outscore the Saints 40-0. Kristi Yoder led Hiland with 19 points and eight rebounds. A trio of girls added a dozen points for the Hawks as Karli Mast, Hilary Weaver and Mykeila Mast all accomplished the feat. Jena Stutzman dished out a team-high nine assists to go with her nine points for Hiland. |
