	Thanks to the following individuals who provided most of the information to make possible this collection of records:

	Most of the information in the 'Team Records', 'Individual Records', and "Modern Individual Records" categories was obtained from the excellent lists of records that Mr. Tom Mullet has maintained for publication in game programs.  A subset of this information was itself originally based on records collected by my father, Mr. Oscar Miller.  Most of the additional information in these lists of records was obtained from the informative LadyHawks web site maintained by Mr. Rob Moser
	My interest in Hiland Hawks basketball and an interest in statistical records was no doubt 'inherited' from my father, Mr. Oscar Miller.  My father was a typing and bookkeeping teacher starting at Berlin High School and then moving to Hiland High School when it opened.  My father was a basketball player at Berlin High School, a Junior High Basketball Coach for some time at the Berlin school, and was a scorekeeper and athletic director for some of his years at Hiland High School.  From about age five or six, he began taking me to Hiland Hawks basketball games.  I can clearly remember being left to sit by myself on the front row bench closest to the main entrance.  It was very exciting for a young boy.
	After graduating from Hiland High School, I obtained a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Bluffton College, and a PhD in Medical Biochemistry from the Ohio State University College of Medicine.  Since then I've been teaching biology at Goshen College.
	If you would like to see a picture of what I looked like while in high school, you won't find it in any of the athletic display cases.  Other than playing on the golf team for a year, my only sports participation was as basketball statistician for four years.  But there is a picture of me in the academic honors display case, across the hall from the office.  My picture is the first one in a long list of students who received various kinds of recognition on the National Merit Test.
