The ice-cold shooting Lady Hawks never held the lead as Centerville, one of the state's top teams, opened up a big lead and never looked back in downing Hiland 65-44.

Hiland shot a tepid 27 percent from the floor, making just 12-of-45 action shots, a night which saw them go 5-of-25 from inside the arc compared to 7-of-20 from beyond the arc. Centerville made 25-of-53 action shots while forcing Hiland into 18 turnovers.

Zoe Miller led the Lady Hawks with 12 points and three boards while Kylie Horn and Krista Troyer each knocked down eight points. Brynn Mullet, Kelsey Swihart and Kendra Shetler each tallied five points with Troyer, Miller and Horn all canning a pair of triples. Freshman Aila Miller led Hiland in rebounding with five, and the two teams battled to a tie on the glass with 31 apiece.

Cotie McMahon paced Centerville with 23 points and a dozen boards while Sam Chable added 16 points and five caroms for Centerville.
