Hiland routs CV

Top-seeded Hiland ran its record to 22-1 with a big victory over visiting Conotton Valley 94-12.

The Hawks sprinted to a 27-3 lead after a quarter -- and then stepped on the gas, outscoring the Rockets 33-5 in the second period for a 60-8 halftime lead in a first-round Div. IV win.

Angela Troyer led a whopping six Hawks in double figures with 21 points as Hiland shot 59 percent from the field (38 of 65). Tiffany Weaver scored 16 points, Kimberly Miller had 15, Sara Keim and Kennedy Schlabach both contributed 11 and Jessica Troyer added 10 markers.

Jessica Troyer had nine of Hiland's 29 steals and Schlabach eight, as the Hawks forced CV into 37 turnovers and held the Rockets to four field goals in 19 attempts.
