While the Ohio St. Buckeyes were taking care of business in The Big House, the Hiland Lady Hawks had things rolling in the Reese Center on Nov. 28.

Hiland held Sandy Valley scoreless in the third quarter on its way to a more than convincing 72-14 win over the Cardinals. The win moves the Lady Hawks to 2-1 on the season and they are now 2-0 in the Inter-Valley Conference.

Sophomore Kennedy Schlabach lit the Cardinals up for 18 points including 3-for-5 shooting from downtown. Junior Angela Troyer joined Schlabach in double figures scoring 15 points while also leading the Lady Hawks on the glass with seven boards.

Freshman Tiffany Weaver just missed double digits with nine points and six rebounds. Senior Brittany Miller dumped in eight points, yanked down six rebounds, doled out five assists and swiped two steals for a balanced line.

Alyssa Sines had four points to lead Sandy Valley. Alexis Crone had just two points, but was a work horse on the glass for the Cardinals corralling seven rebounds.
