Lady Hawks destroy East Canton 84-23

Three Lady Hawks reached double figures in the scoring column in their romp of East Canton on Nov. 23. In the Reese Center on Wednesday, Hiland picked up its first Inter-Valley Conference win of the season and are now 1-1 with the 84-23 convincing win over the Hornets.

Kennedy Schlabach led the way with 21 points including a 3-for-8 effort from behind the arc. Schlabach, a sophomore, also doled out eight assists to go along with four steals. Junior Angela Troyer poured in 17 points while also yanking down four rebounds and Brittany Miller had 11 points to go with three boards and four assists.

Three players scored eight points for the Lady Hawks. Sophomore Sara Keim and the two freshman, Mya Blochlinger and Tifany Weaver, each had eight points. The frosh also led the Hawks in the rebounding column. Blochlinger had six boards and Weaver led the way with seven.

27 Hornets’ turnovers equaled 38 Hiland points.
