This Inter-Valley Conference clash was a game after one quarter as Hiland led TCC by just five points at 22-17 before putting the game on deep freeze with an 18-8 second frame run. That, coupled with a strong second half push, enabled the Hawks to advance to 8-2 overall and 7-0 in the IVC.
Angela Troyer led Hiland with 21 points and six rebounds, and Kennedy Schlabach stepped back and buried four triples for 15 points and dished out five assists to go with her six boards. Brittany Miller added 11 points and Sara Keim finished with nine for the Hawks.
