Hiland improves to 5-0 in IVC




Hiland rolled to its fifth Inter-Valley Conference win in as many tries.

Kennedy Schlabach and Brittany Miller were both lights out from long range for the visiting Hawks (5-2, 5-0), who buried 16 of 25 3-pointers in the easy 84-50 victory.

Schlabach drilled 7 of 10 from beyond the arc and poured in 35 points, while all of Miller's eight field goals came from 3-point land, as she was 8 of 10 for 25 points.

The sophomore Schlabach added five steals and three assists to her 12 of 18 shooting night, while Miller passed out four assists and had three steals. Angela Troyer added 10 points, five rebounds and five steals, while Jessica Troyer had a team-high seven rebounds as Hiland jumped out to a 24-11 lead after one quarter and never looked back.

Sara Loomis had 13 points and 15 rebounds for Malvern, which committed 22 turnovers.
