Running out to a 41-7 halftime lead, Hiland made the second half academic as it punched the W in Inter-Valley Conference play vs. Strasburg.
The Hawks' explosive offense was led by a stifling defense that forced the Tigers into 18 turnovers and that translated into a 30-7 edge in points off turnovers. Headlining the picking of Strasburg's pockets were Kennedy Schlabach and Morgan McMillen with four steals each.
Schlabach took a back seat offensively as the normally prolific shooter only put in eight, but instead facilitated the offense with a game-high nine assists. At the receiving end of many of those passed from Schlabach was Angela Troyer with 14 points, Brittany Miller with 12 and McMillen chipped in nine.
The Hawks also dominated the glass to the tune of 55-17 and were paced by Sara Keim with seven.
