Rolling out the bench, Hiland saw 12 girls log double-digit minutes and 13 total get into the fray as it continued its dominant start to the season by dismantling Inter-Valley Conference rival Newcomerstown. The end result saw the Hawks have 13 girls score, outrebounded the Trojans 40-17, forced their way to a 27-2 edge in points off turnovers and more importantly saw their bench outscore Newcomerstown 39-1.

Leading the barrage for Hiland (6-0, 5-0 IVC) was Megan Beachy with 14 points, while Rachel Horn (13), Kennedy Schlabach (12), Sara Keim (11) and Angela Troyer (11) all get into double figures in scoring. Alex Troyer paced the Hawks with 10 rebounds and seven assists.
