The Hornets were within shouting distance of the Hawks (10-0, 8-0 Inter-Valley Conference) after a quarter at 20-11, but Hiland eventually pulled away in the second stanza with a 14-7 roll to remain undefeated this year.

The Hawks, ranked No. 2 in Div. IV in this week's first AP poll, were led by Megan Beachy with 20 points. Kennady Schlabach tacked on 11 for the visiting Hawks.
