Hiland utilized every chance it could to put the ball in the bucket to knock off rival Garaway. With a 27-25 edge on the glass, the Hawks used that to grab a 13-0 advantage in second-chance points to improve to 16-2 overall and 12-0 in the Inter-Valley Conference.

Kendra Schlabach led Hiland with 14 points and eight assists, while Megan Beachy chipped in a dozen points and grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Also playing strong for the Hawks was Regina Hochstetler with nine points and five caroms snared.
