Meagan Hall and McKenzie Miller each fired in 15 points as the Hawks topped the Cardinals.

Regina Hochstetler scored 12 points for the Hawks as Hiland improved to 11-2 in the Inter-Valley Conference and 11-7 overall.

Sandy Valley was led by Cortney Huffman, who scored eight points.

The Hawks took control early, leading 18-9 after one quarter and 36-20 at the half. They held the Cardinals to just two points in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

Rebounding favored Hiland, 30-25, as Hall, Regan Miller and Jasmine Goings each had five rebounds. Mercedes Bowling had eight boards for the Cardinals.

Turnovers were a big key to the outcome, as the Cardinals had 30 and Hiland 11.
