Hiland 81, Malvern 19

The final score may not be the most interesting numbers in this game, or the fact that the Hawks' Jena Stutzman outscored the Hornets by herself (30-19).  But turnovers, and points off turnovers were the story.

Hiland forced Malvern into a whopping 43 turnovers, and scored 51 points off those miscues in improving to 13-3 on the year and 13-0 in the Inter-Valley Conference.  While both teams scored around a point a shot (Hiland 81 shots, 81 points, Malvern 24 shots, 19 points), rebounds were also key.  The Hawks collared 46 rebounds for the game, but 35 of them were on the offensive end, where Hiland scored 21 second-chance points to four for Malvern.

Besides Stutzman's 30 points (6-of-11 on 3-pointers), Lydia Miller chipped in 16 points and Karli Mast nine.
