Hiland opened up the area's tournament season in style. Playing in a sectional semifinal at the Div. IV Claymont tournament, the defending Div. IV state champions rolled past Wellsville 76-19. Jena Stutzman hit 6-of-10 3-pointers and exploded for a career-high 32 points for Hiland, while Lydia Miller netted 13 points in support. Leading the Hawks' 43-29 edge on the glass was Krista Beechy with seven boards, adding a team-leading five assists. Senior Lindsay Stuckey finished with just nine points, but was still a big force as she grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists and snared five steals.
