Hiland wraps up another IVC crown

An 81-32 win over Sandy Valley not only wrapped up the Inter-Valley Conference season for Hiland, but extended its reign at the top.  The Hawks have now won 11 straight titles and are currently on a 69-game winning streak in the conference.

Hiland made things look easy as it jumped out on Sandy Valley in the first quarter with a 23-7 run and then cruised to the win.  The locals outrebounded the Cardinals 40-17 and forced a 27-8 advantage in turnovers.

The Hawks were led by senior standout Lindsay Stuckey with 24 points and five boards.  Jena Stutzman tossed in four 3-pointers en route to 20 points, three caroms, five assists and seven steals, with Rachel Thomas scoring nine points and grabbing 10 rebounds in support.

Lydia Miller ran the show for Hiland with eight assists.
