Hawks rout Strasburg

Strasburg hung with defending state champion Hiland for one quarter, but that was as good as it got for the hosts, as the Hawks went on to record a 76-25 victory.

The Hawks led just 18-10 after eight minutes of play, but outscored the Tigers 48-9 over the next two quarters before icing the game with a 10-6 fourth-quarter spurt.

Lindsay Stuckey led the Hawks with 20 points and four rebounds, while Jena Stutzman dumped in 10 points and four assists.  Rachel Thomas finished with eight points and seven rebounds.

Defensively, the Hawks forced the Tigers into 35 turnovers, which they turned into 41 points.
