Stuckey now Hiland's top scorer

As a junior, Lindsay Stuckey was a member of a state championship team.

As a senior, the Hiland standout has earned the ultimate individual honor.

Stuckey scored 19 points in Hiland's 70-17 drubbing of Newcomerstown, becoming the Hawks' all-time leading scorer in the process.

Stuckey needed 15 points to match former Hiland standout Erin Hostetler (2000 graduate) for the school's all-time record of 1,450.  Against Inter-Valley Conference foe Newcomerstown, Stuckey ran her total to 1,454 points.  She scored 354 points in both her freshman and sophomore seasons, had 462 a year ago, and has 284 to date this season.

Stuckey also grabbed seven rebounds, had seven steals and dished out three assists in posting the complete all-around game.  Jena Stutzman connected for 17 points and dished out a team-leading seven assists in support of Stuckey.

Hiland outrebounded their host 36-26 and forced a 41-11 edge in turnovers.

Pacing the locals on the glass was Krista Beechy with 13 rebounds, while Lydia Miller led the defense with eight steals.
