Hiland back to its winning ways

There's no place like home ... to bounce back after a loss.

After suffering its first loss in 33 games earlier this week, Hiland's girls basketball team returned to the Perry Reese Center and knocked off Ridgewood Saturday.

Nothing was dominant but the Hawks found the right ingredients in getting past the Generals.

Hiland (6-1) was paced by guard Jena Stutzman with 16 points and five rebounds.  Lindsay Stuckey totaled nine points.

Lydia Miller finished with eight points to go with her team leading seven rebounds.

The Hawks as a team edged Ridgewood on the boards 30-29 and held a decisive 14-1 advantage in assists.
