Ranked No. 1 for the second straight week in the Div. IV AP poll and coming off a huge weekend, Hiland showed no ill effects in this Inter-Valley Conference battle. The Hawks (14-0, 11-0 IVC) took it to the hoop and took it there often in dismantling Conotton Valley with ease. Junior standout Lindsay Stuckey backed up her POTW billing with a game-high 18 points, grabbed a team-high six rebounds and snatched five steals in leading Hiland. Freshman Jena Stutzman continued her breakout week with 16 points and five steals. Launa Hochstetler ran the offense with a team-high eight assists, seven steals and tossed in nine points. The Hawks outrebounded the Rockets 39-25 and finished with a decisive 45-9 edge in turnovers, which ended up translating into a 49-0 advantage in points off of turnovers.
